Delivery Information
How Delivery Works
Daimenu is a marketplace that connects you with local merchants. When you place an order, the merchant receives it directly and is fully responsible for preparing your food and managing the delivery.
We provide the technology to make ordering easy, but the delivery itself - including timing, routing, and handoff - is handled entirely by the merchant or their own delivery staff.
Daimenu is available across the European Union. Each merchant defines their own delivery area and policies, so service is offered wherever individual merchants choose to operate.
Placing an Order
Here's how to place an order on Daimenu:
- Browse merchants and select the one you'd like to order from.
- Add items to your cart, choose your preferred size options and supplements.
- At checkout, choose your delivery address, payment method (cash or online), and add an optional order note for the merchant.
- After placing your order, you can track it from your profile. Go to your profile icon in the header, then select "Orders" from the menu - or navigate to Profile and open the Orders tab.
Order Tracking
Once your order is placed, you can follow its progress from the Orders section in your profile. You'll also receive in-app notifications when the merchant updates your order status.
Your order will go through the following statuses:
- Pending - Your order has been received and is waiting for the merchant to accept it.
- Preparing - The merchant has accepted your order and is preparing it.
- Delivering - Your order is on its way to you.
- Delivered - Your order has been delivered.
Please note that order status updates depend on the merchant. Some merchants may not update the status in real time - for example, your order might already be on its way even if the status still shows "Preparing". If you have any concerns about your order, you can always contact the merchant directly.
Order Notes and Communication
You can add a custom note to your order during checkout. This note is visible to the merchant and can include special requests, delivery instructions, or any other information you'd like them to know.
If the merchant has a question or wants to leave a message about your order, they can add a comment. You'll receive an in-app notification when this happens, and you can view the merchant's comment in your order details. Please note this is not a live chat - both you and the merchant can leave one comment each.
Order Cancellation
You can cancel your order under the following conditions:
- The order must still be in "Pending" status (the merchant hasn't started preparing it yet).
- The order must have been placed with cash payment. Orders paid online cannot be cancelled by the customer through the platform.
- Once the merchant marks the order as "Preparing" or any later status, cancellation through the platform is no longer available.
If you need to cancel or modify an order that doesn't meet these conditions, please contact the merchant directly. You can find the merchant's phone number and other contact details on their page, displayed prominently at the top of their menu.
Scheduled Delivery
Some merchants support scheduled (delayed) delivery, allowing you to place an order now and have it delivered at a later time. If a merchant supports this feature, you'll see the option during checkout. The following rules apply:
- Scheduled delivery is only available for delivery orders (not pickup).
- The requested delivery time must be at least 1 hour from the time you place the order.
- The delivery time must fall within the merchant's working hours.
- The selected day must not be a day off for the merchant.
Payment Methods
Daimenu supports the following payment methods:
- Cash on delivery - Pay the merchant or their delivery person directly when you receive your order.
- Online payment - Pay securely through Stripe before your order is prepared. Depending on your device, you can pay by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Revolut Pay. All payments go directly to the merchant - Daimenu does not charge any additional fees.
Not all merchants accept online payments. If a merchant supports them, you'll see the available options during checkout. Delivery fees and minimum order amounts are set by each merchant individually.
Merchant Responsibility
Each merchant on Daimenu operates independently. The merchant is solely responsible for food preparation, food quality and safety, pricing, delivery logistics, delivery time accuracy, and keeping order statuses up to date.
Daimenu provides a convenient platform for connecting you with merchants, but we do not control or guarantee the merchant's operations. While we encourage all merchants to keep their order statuses accurate, some may not update them in real time. Your order may be further along than the status indicates.
We trust both our clients and merchants, but we always want to protect our customers from unfair or dishonest practices. We encourage you to report any bad experiences - not only directly to the merchant, but to us as well.
If we identify confirmed issues, we will take appropriate actions to prevent such situations from happening again and to ensure a fair experience for everyone on the platform.
Contacting the Merchant
If you have questions about your order, need to make changes, or want to check on the delivery status, you can contact the merchant directly. Every merchant's contact information - including phone number - is displayed at the top of their menu page, making it easy to reach them at any time.
